Probably too many cooks at this point, considering the 6-man team limit, but if you want a volunteer for suicidal lone laser pistol runs, a decoy, or just someone to chuck grenades, then sign me up.

I have to object... Nobody is going to risk yelling "Thorondor, do this" or "do that", you can't have half your squad running in the same direction. So it all boils down to us few to take the heat!  :clapping:

BTW, as far as fodder goes, try using Siegfried next time. I don't feel so lucky.

Ok, we touch down. Rearrange equipment a bit and get the smoke ready.

NKF is the first trooper down the ramp. He spots one of those gray bastards.

We get everyone off the ship. Silencer and BB have their guns on the ground because we don't want them freaking out and killing anyone.

We spot something new! It's some mini UFO thing. SV pops off 9 shots dropping it!

Two more aliens show up over here. One throws a grenade and manages to hit the building next to him. This mistake saves half the squad!

Pete moves out to see if we can find anything else to shoot. He then calls for BB to snipe this UFO. An alien is killed in the blast, then the UFO itself explodes!

Now our attention turns to the UFOs down here that Silencer can't run from because he's panicked..

NKF unloads his autocannon on the first one, draws his laser pistol and opens up on this one!

Between him and Pete we drop one.

Jman and SV attempt to kill off the other one, but fail. Silencer, still in a panic, is gunned down where he stands.

With Silencer no longer out here pointing in the general direction of the discs and screaming in terror, Pete is forced to scout that disc out again.

Since Pete is out of ammo, he goes and takes BB's rocket laucher, with it's single rocket and marches off to fight.

Jman goes hunting for the last alien and finds it!

Jman and NKF are in hiding just in case it tries something.

The UFO comes where Jman can see it through a window. He takes 9 shots on it a close range, only 1 misses. It finaly drops to the ground and explodes taking out the entire wall! Two more lives saved thanks to armor!

Ok, we barely have a positive score here, but it was much better than it could have went. 15 aliens are dead. We have captured 2 aliens, one of them a psi. We also lost the two best soldiers that we had, but with their psi weakness it's good that we found that out now as they were a major liability to us.

Pete is wounded for the next week. He got 2 kills out there today and got his Squaddie stripe.

NKF was a beast his first time out. A combination of AC and laser pistol work savaged their asses!

SV continues to be a lucky bastard and his accuracy and strength are climbing, he'll probably take over BB's rocket launcher.

Jman got 2 stuns and a kill on that disc at the very end. Finally netting him some combat exp.

We get our new troops cloned. Both Silencer and BB have high firing accuracy and strength. They'll go back into heavy weapons ASAP.

We got another contact!...but it's moving like a bat out of hell and our interceptor can't catch up with it...

Our base in Florida is completed, at the start of the next month, we'll move in with troops to garrison it.

Extremely. He was knocked out from some AC fire. The psi attacks stopped, then started back up. So I figured out that the unarmed alien running around was the leader and had to wait on the guy with the stun launcher to stop panicking so he could be dropped again. I suppose loosing Silencer and BB due to having that wait was worth it in the end though since I can now start screening for psi. :clapping:

I shoulda realised that requesting the launcher would automatically net myself a psi score in the single digit range.  :clapping:

All in all though, that went very well.

Our radar has just IDed a small UFO moving through Europe.

We send out both interceptors to hunt it down. It was last reported off the coast of Norway.

Our American interceptor diverts to France to expand our coverage of the area.

Our Eurasian interceptor flies down the length of Scandinavia while our American is still in route.

Couple of hours later, we get a radar contact from our American base!

Looks like we missed it, it's now over South America and headed out of radar range at a high rate of speed. Time to recall those interceptors and get them refueling, we've missed out this time.

We touch down. Jman and SV smoke us up.

We deploy our squad. A floater comes into view. NKF shoots him, the floater returns fire. Luckily NKF's armor negates all the damage and he fires again dropping the alien.

Strike moves out, he sees an alien next to the farmhouse. NFK fires on it with two snap shots taking it out.

As Strike moves out, he hears a door open up behind him...

NKF opens up on the door destroying it. Nothing screamed, and we're sure something is there...

So Silencer opens up on it too. The body is destroyed in a 3 round burst.

Strike continues his sweep and spots the UFO. It's a medium scout, which is the most dangerous type of alien craft to clear depite being so small. He gets uneasy as he's probably the most expendable member of the squad and you know how these things can go...

SV and Jman continue to clear their area before we move on the UFO.

NKF climbs up through the farmhouse so he can have some elevation in case sniping is required to deal with this.

Strike and BB move up on the UFO, using it as cover. Strike has a primed proximity grenade ready to be deployed near the entrance on the other side of the craft.

BB draws his pistol since a rocket is not the preferred weapon at this range...

Our squad advances closer to the door, using that grenade as insurance that the first thing out that door is toast.

NKF reaches the roof and waits in a sniper position.

Jman and Strike lay in wait for anything coming out that door..

SV pulls out another grenade. We hear them moving in there and we think there's about 4-5 of them still in the craft.

BB moves to a postition on the other side of the craft and readies his rocket launcher. We're SO gonna flush them out with this!

*BOOM!* Death screams are heard inside. Aliens are starting to panic and run around in terror.

An alien runs out and our mine blasts him. He is them followed out by another alien that Jman guns down.

Our high explosive solution to this mission has prevented us for recovering a sample of alien fuel, as well as destroying over half of the alien corpses. Seems there were 5 aliens in that saucer and BB got 3 of them with his rocket fire to the side of the hull.
