Working money edit

Playing a the game again after years, due to it being on Steam now and since I've lost the original years ago in a move. And suddenly I remembered a money edit, which still seems to work.

 

Save your game and write down how much money you have.

Exit, and open a hex editor on that save file.

 

Open your windows calculator (enable scientific), and type in the amount of money you had, and active the "HEX" button and you get a new value: f.e. 99823 -> 185EF

 

This is NOT the correct value you have to look for. You need to swap this around. The HEX values are made up out of pairs of 2 digets. 185EF is actually 01 85 EF. This needs to be put in reverse order, making EF 85 01.

 

Back to your HEX editor, do a "replace" command, look for EF 85 01, and replace that with the value which represents howmuch money you want. You want 500'000? Make it 20 A1 07.

 

If you want for example $5 000 000, replace it with 40 4B 4C

Maximum money would be FF FF FF, giving something around 16'777'215.
