How to use Drones?

Heya.

 

Need to know how to use Drones. I equip the defensive drone with Tracks but when I move the drone to the selected soldiers box the drone disappears. It doesn't get included and It's no longer in the devices section?

 

Any idea what is up? Does it seem more like a bug or am I doing something wrong??

Did you move the drone into a soldier's inventory? That's a bit of a bug, actually. If I'm not mistaken, it should be located somewhere on your ammo belt. For normal loading, you need to empty a slot in the landing pod and place the drone in it as if it were a soldier.

 

If it's actually vanishing completely, then you might have hit the inventory bug that plagued earlier versions of the game. The updates might fix that.

 

I've not had very many fond memories with the drones, so really cannot comment on them much more than that.
