X-Com Midis

Only the UFO and TFTD that came with the collectors edition has the separate midi files (the June 2000 PCGamer disc with UFO is from the Collectors edition as well).

Try XCommand ( https://dynamic.gamespy.com/~xcom/ ).

I got the TFTD midi files from there. I could also have acquired the UFO midi files -- but as I've got the collectors edition of UFO, it seemed pointless. :tank:

As for interceptor -- weren't the music files stored as short clips on various .wav files?

Depending on how good your sound card plays midi files, the midi files really don't do justice to the original synthesiser music. Don't know why, it just doesn't. Even if played on the same computer. (blame that on the differing midi instrument tables )

This is probably just a wild guess JFG, but have you checked the volume setting for the music in your dos game? Try hitting the + and - keys on the keypad while in the Geoscape or during tactical combat.
