Heh... About backups: I have used (modded) Sentinels (CD) so much that I bought a backup copy 3 weeks ago. It was unused (wrapped with plastic) and cost 2.50 euros

Where's my hammer, there's my sickle!

Anybody have any news on the release of this game? All I've gotten are two (identical) E-Mails from the online company I ordered it from saying they don't have it in stock yet but will have within 7 days. Yeah right.

According to the shop at cdv.de it will be available there at 21/11-2005....Realgames just keeps bombarding you with orderupdates....Pay no attention to them, Gungadin. Get a second opinion from elsewhere.....

Nothing official, but Play.com lists it as a 13.01.2006 release.

I found this on the offical CDV board:

Quote

On December 5, 2005, Hammer & Sickle will release to North American retailers (followed by the Europe early next year).

In anticipation of this launch we will be releasing new content all month, giving you an advanced and more in-depth look at this exciting early Cold War tactical RPG in which you, as a top notch Soviet spy, are all that can prevent (or bring about) nuclear armageddon.

A demo is currently scheduled for release after Thanksgiving (last week of November) and should give you at least a few days to play and get hooked on this great game that utilizes an updated version of Nival's Silent Storm: Sentinels engine.

Again a 'worth the wait' game is being delayed....Bugs Maybe?

Maybe, but it's a long time since it was released in Russia. Anyway, thanks for the heads up!

Wait, so does this mean that the game is going back into development for a brief time (Going Un-Gold?) or just that they're moving the ship date back a week or two?

No more development! (that'll come back to haunt me in a couple months if the game turns out to be unfinished like S2....)
