Guest Anonymous Posted January 21, 2004 Report Share Posted January 21, 2004 No gunshots no fire sound on main menu no footsteps..jsut music..tried with Soundblaster Live! 5.1 (original windows drivers, newest drivers)On board audio AC'97 (with newest drivers)Uninstalled Antivirus Kaspersky (heard the antivirus monitor may cause problems - did not help)Made sure that Miscrosoft and IMA ADPCM codecs are installed and first in the list.DirectX 9.0b Windows Xp prof with SP1 and all updates.Reinstall did not help too. BTW updated 1.1 or 1.2 have the same problem( mainly was working with 1.2 version of the game)I ran out of meaningful things to try. Please help.
