The final RB-Mod (v.6.0)

Ok, as promised, here it is, the final version of the Rebalance-Mod. This will be the last version of the mod UNTIL new tools and/or new patches arrive. Atm, i can't mod anything else in the game as additional changes would only be copies of already used models/textures/creatures and that wouldn't be what i and the modusers would want.

 

In the next days some versions of the "Aliens-with-RB-weapons"-plugin will be delivered, too. Then maybe an updated version of the "famous-people"-plugin. But that will be all i will do concerning RB-Mods for some time.

 

But don't be afraid: I'm already planning for another HUGE mod-idea, a kind of Total Conversion, but more on this soon! I will need you to vote in some polls then, so stick around :)

Just finished 5.2 on normal difficulty, at last ! Some random crashes had been slowing me down. Well, just in time to begin a new begin with RB Final, in hard mode this time ! :)

 

Just one question : in the event that you added the Glosary Entries for all the new equipment into a RB Final Extended Edition :) would the savegames be compatible with this RB Final or not ?

Kermel: That shouldn't conflict with your savegame, would work.

I will not change them, i like them as they are. Maybe you could do an Alpine-plugin which people can apply to their games? The files you need to change are in the tactical/textures/units directory (just open the mod with a vfs-tool, you'll see ~11 files , 10 of them you need to edit with a paint proggie of your choice.) Then re-pack them, done! :)

I like it.

 

the BFG's are too strong, imo (just defended a base with a guy in berzerk and a BFG4500 against 10 retis ...) but i don't have to use them, have i ? :)

 

What i don't like is the fact, that i seldomly encounter transgenants with weapons anymore ... gobbers, chrysalis, spitters, those bio-AT-ST-spit-me-to-death thingies and firetiks. They are cake. RB-weapon-carrying Transgenants would give me more headache, but thats not a RB-mod-problem, i guess :)

 

RB-mod makes me play through for the first time :)

i did the modefing...i edited some stats for weapins and some animation types the way i like tham.....its more rebalanced now

 

except for the ak wich does 90 damdge...what can i say i love that gun

 

i mad the uniforns darker...and more camo like...i mad the back pack darker...and the hands now look like they are in gloves...can you post me the helmit...i whant to make it a bit diffrent...both if posible...plz

 

and can you tell me how to compress it again...i keep pressing c...but nothing hapens

I was playing with the AK101 tonight, and I couldn't get it to touch a Reticulan at all. I think it was the Yellow Sun Armor that the Reticulan had on. Anyway, I came away thinking that AK101 needed to have more power or some kind of bullet that would occasionally penetrate the Reticulan's armor. Otherwise, it looked like a pretty cool gun.

All I can really say is thanks for listening to us. I appreciate all that you do for us. And, I'm sure BlackAlmaz will be very excited to have his favorite gun working the way he wants it to be working. :)

 

 

EDIT:

 

If Slaughter and company are running out of FTP space, then you might choose to erase the Rebalance 5.0 and Rebalance 5.2 - maybe even the Rebalance 5.5.

 

5.6.2 should stay there for now, and of course Rebalance 4.1b should remain as well for those who have version 1.2 of UFO:AM.

Ok, here some screenshots. All other changes are done already, i only wait for your OK with the armours. I used an original camo texture (i think it's american) and mixed it with the 6.0 textures:

Hello,

I've tried a few rebalance mods and they are great fun. I like all the old XCOM stuff. Since Rebalance 5.6 however, it keeps crashing :) 5.6 crashes while loading up the tactical (usually in a town area), and 6 crashes during tactical missions. Any chance of you guys looking into this? I'm running XP and version 1.3 of Aftermath.

I've installed Alpine but none of the mods, and I deleted all the old rebalance files when I tried the new ones. I haven't tried any other mods yet. I'm pretty sure there are no other mods conflicting with it.

 

And this face looks like it came from the Chaos Engine :) (ah remember the old Amiga).
