gurkoz Posted November 15, 2003 Report Share Posted November 15, 2003 Hey there fellow aliens ;o) Im happy to announce that my sound enhancement for UFO Aftermath is ready.It uses the cfg.vfs mod method to replace just about all the weapon soundsin the game. Although it's just v1.0 Beta it will be fully functional. ;o) This first release features only replacement sounds, but future releases willhave support for individual sounds for all weapons and hopefully aliens too.More on future improvements later. GREAT sound pack, MUCH better than what i had cooking ^^im thrilled to hear about every gun getting unique sounds! i noticed it while replacing sound files too, theres like 1 sound for nearly all handguns, its pathetic!keep up the good work, my next beer is to you m8, cheers! Are there already the program hooks hidden away somewhere in the program so that we can add sounds to the aliens? Or is that something that ALTAR has yet to program into the game in a patch? In other words, was GurkoZ going to use something he has already found in the program in order to give sounds to aliens, or was he going to hack the program, give them sounds without the backup or support of anything that ALTAR has done so far? Boks Posted January 22, 2004 Report Share Posted January 22, 2004 Try renaming cfg.vfs to modSoundEn.vfs . I wasn't around here in the ol' cfg.vfs days so I'm not 100% sure this will work. PS. Slaughter, there seem to be quite a few mods missing from https://www.ufoaftermath.co.uk/?c=Mods&p=mods#mods . I know the ALPine plugins have their own section, but some plugins are listed at the above link as well.PPS. Where is the link to https://www.ufoaftermath.co.uk/?c=Mods&p=mods#mods from the website?
