Rinchwind Posted October 14, 2003 Report Share Posted October 14, 2003 when I got them I tried to give them some armor, and when I couldn't I removedthe armor from one of them, now he looks like a mummy and I still can't equip himwith a reguler armor (or even his old lab coat for that sake, it just disappeard...)maybe they are planning to do something with them later in the game?otherwise it seems pretty pointless... Rinchwind. systems Posted October 15, 2003 Report Share Posted October 15, 2003 You get biomass repulsors by doing a UFO mission in a downed PLANTER, then researching everything you find there. After doing that I think you need to do the "Russian Base" mission, but I may be wrong there. The yellow and red business is described in the game manual. Yellow means "trouble here", red means "get your ass here soon or you lose this area". To prevent this, change the base in that area to a MILITARY base. TIP: If you take a base and it's in biomass, change it IMMEDIATELY to a repulsor (once you have it). Pete Posted October 15, 2003 Report Share Posted October 15, 2003 One of the greys I had on my team could spot enemies prettymuch on the other side of the map, whilst the other one was aspedy sprinter. They were quite useful on a few missions as spotters and decoys to draw fire, as I didn't mind to much if they got shot. Kinda harsh, but hey?! Kal Cyann Posted October 15, 2003 Report Share Posted October 15, 2003 Only thing i found with the greys is that they can use the alien wepaons that humans cannot, they tend to be very fast an keen observers so training them up in certain areas as scouts or bait can be useful in certain areas.
