A dead easy way to complete indoor missions

Ok, I am not too far in the game myself, but I know that there are a lot of new players here as well as the 1337 guys ;-)

 

Here's a tip for doing those indoor extermination missions.. The tactic should be useful in most citymaps if you can find a good location..

 

Squad:

1 Sniper

4 Close combat high ROF dudes

2 Grenadiers (small light gun and lots of 'Nades)

 

Find a nice room with 3 openings and some long corridors. You can find a spot like that in all the bases quite easily. Setup your Close Quarters dudes around the most likely alien entrance, put your sniper so he can look and fire down all corridors. He's your spotter! Have the grenadiers standing in the middle ready to take down aliens..

 

Now just start the time at max speed and wait.. Eventually the aliens will cross your snipers field of view and he can take a shot at them to lure them into your trap.. As the aliens get closer you start lobbing grenades at them, and if they get a wee bit close your 4 CQB guys will cut them down..

 

If you grow inpatient then send a fast Grenade guy out to scout.. He can easily lure the aliens into your trap..

 

I have found this trap tactic to work like a charm in quite a few missions.. It might not be too exciting, but if you're overpowered it seems like a good tactic..

 

It fails a little if there are those PSI blobs (forgot the name) all over the place as they seem quite immobile..

 

 

BTW.. Which sniper rifle do you guys think is the best? I have a Barrett Light in my inventory, but I don't dare use it before I have a mundo tough mission as I only have 2 clips for it.. It also weighs quite a lot..

Nah, not really.. 2 minutes pr. Alien I would guess..

That's 28 minutes on an alien base atm, where I have to take out min 14 aliens

This tactic will only work at the start, once they start using long-range heavy weapons, you're toast.
