Character Discriptions

Nearly all characters mentioned in the fic are here, with the exception of most of squad 3, and a few random faces that didn't stay around long enough to justify any notes.

Chapter 1 - Page 01

Paul Jasper

Introduced in post 0001, owned by Carlos the Jackal.

An A.S.I.O. agent. I guess he represents Carlos, as in the first post he calls him that once by accident. Good agility, but won't be carrying any heavy weapons. Currently assigned to squad 3 as a rifleman.

Tim Day

Introduced in post 0001, owned by Carlos the Jackal.

Worked with Jasper back at A.S.I.O. Standard intellegence, fast but weak. Thin guy with black hair, good personality. Currently assigned to squad 1 as a pistol scout.

Tamara "Tammy" Hilliard

Introduced in post 0001, owned by Tammy.

Medic. Runs on adrenaline to get the job done, as she's not built for heavy work. Usually lighthearted, but concentrates heavily on the job at hand. Bunks with Cleo "Poison" Andrews. Currently assigned to squad 1 as a medic.

Ki-tat Chung

Introduced in post 0001, owned by Ki-tat Chung.

Chinese who moved into Australia at an early age. Joined standard army, then X-Com. Slightly slow, but strong. Hacker type with good psi. Bunks with Kilam Chung (his brother). Currently assigned to squad 1, but due to stay in the medbay for the next age or so.

Kilam "Tank" Chung

Introduced in post 0001, owned by Ki-tat Chung.

Ki-tat's brother. Bunks with Ki-tat Chung. Currently assigned to heavy weapons in squad 2.

Christel "Mouse" Keller

Introduced in post 0003, owned by Snikers.

Age 19. An oddball, due to her parents being cousins. An albino with an extra finger on her left hand. Also deaf in her left ear due to a firing range incident (but is good at covering that up), and she has a scar on her face from a fight in school. Also, a crooked nose. Left handed. Wears custom made goggles due to weak eyes. Average strength (though she doesn't look it). Good with a rifle, seems to handle recoil very well. Doesn't like pistols so much. Average speed, good intellegence. Bunks with Gia "Raven" O'Connor.

Sean "Doc" France

Introduced in post 0004, owned by DocFrance.

Carrier pilot. Shanghied into X-Com after he took a peak at his secret cargo after some rough weather. Good at his job. Speaks french (but is not french), and some german. Speedy with average strength. Bright.

Frank "Cheese" Cheeseman

Introduced in post 0004, owned by DocFrance.

Carrier pilot. Joined X-Com the same way as Doc. Doesn't get mentioned often.

Cleo "Poison" Andrews

Introduced in post 0006, owned by Tammy.

Street figher turned X-Com agent, keeps constantly on guard for combat, a trait which makes her dangerous as well as hard to get to know. Bunks with Tamara "Tammy" Hilliard. Currently a pistol scout in squad 2.

Igor "Sandy" Zhandovich

Introduced in post 0006, introduced by Tammy (JFG's log puts him down as owned by Snikers?)

Russian army grunt. Stronger then average, but not very fast. A bit on the slow side mentally, too, but not inclined to panic either. Currently hauling the autocannon in squad 3.

Jack "Warlord" Thomas

Introduced in post 0008, owned by Warlord.

The avatar of a tank - big, strong, equiped with the heavyist weapons around, but perhaps a bit sluggish. Good intelligence, and very military minded. Great with just about any weapon, prefers heavy. Always has a crew cut. Currently assigned to carry something heavy in squad 1.

Bernard "Gardener" Dujardin

Introduced in post 0010, owned by Snikers.

Black man, standard strength, quick on his feet. He's a psi target. Bunks with Bob "Red Shirt" Jennings. Currently assigned to squad 2 as a rifleman/medic.

Bob "Red Shirt" (or "Stump") Jennings

Introduced in post 0010, owned by Snikers.

Generically paranoid. Always seems on the brink of panic, but never seems to cross that line regardless of circumstances. Bunks with Bernard "Gardener" Dujardin. Assigned to squad 1, but is currently enjoying a quick stay in med.

Timothy J Munt ("Trigger" or "TJ")

Introduced in post 0011, owned by The Veteran.

British pilot. Assigned to X-Com base before it got that purpose. Bunks with Rick "Ping" Chez, who he has known for years.

Gia "Raven" O'Connor

Introduced in post 0012, owned by JellyfishGreen.

American USAF test pilot turned X-Com. Good reflexes and a love of adrenaline make her great for the faster craft, such as the Hurricane. Enthusiastic personality. Bunks with Christel Keller.

General Stan "Knight" Genega

Introduced in post 0013, owned by Warlord.

Commander of X-Com. Exceptional all around statistics, but not likely to go into combat due to his leadership role. It'll be interesting to see how he does in the event of a base assault.

Karl Green

Introduced in post 0016, owned by JellyfishGreen.

Sometimes spelt Carl, as opposed to Karl. I presume Karl is correct. Sniper, joined X-Com as a substitute to court martial (he killed a man in a drunken fist fight). Usually bald. Likes high tech toys. Yet another "average strength good speed" trooper. Psi unknown. Bunks with Martin "Strike" Terrick. Currently assigned to squad 2 as a rifleman/sniper.

Richard (Rick) Osmond Chez ("Ping")

Introduced in post 0018, owned by The Veteran.

Not the brightest of troopers, but it's more soldier mentality then anything. Definitely competent. Until recently, he was the leader of squad 1. Bunks with TJ, who he meet when he was 18. Assigned to base before it gained it's alien based purpose. Bunks with Timothy J Munt ("Trigger" or "TJ"). Currently assigned to squad 1 as a rifleman.

Christopher "Vampire" Black

Introduced in post 0019, owned by Doug.

Biology scientist, who may have some natural psychic ability. Practises Yoga and his agility benefits from it. Prone to depression and paranoia.

Ricky Van der Wal ("Worm")

Introduced in post 0025, introduced by The Veteran (JFG's log puts him down as owned by Wormfist?)

Erm, can't find this guy in JFG's log. His name is there, no bio? I have a weird copy, so I'll check the original later. Anyhoo, this guy is a computer specialist. Makes lots of viruses, and is introduced as the developer of an AI system. Friend and room mate of Pios "Slice" Alparada.

Jenny Graham

Introduced in post 0027, introduced by Tammy (JFG's log puts him down as owned by JFG?)

General secutary of X-Com. Knows everyone and is good at pulling strings. Wears make up and the like.

Pios "Slice" Alparada

Introduced in post 0029, owned by Wormfist.

Friend and room mate of Worm. Much like Worm, he's a computer specialist.

Rhysling "Grizzly" Davies

Introduced in post 0036, introduced by The Veteran (JFG's log puts him down as owned by JFG?)

Seems to be a pilot. Been at the base for about the same time as TJ, the two do not get on.

Norton "Stick" Wexford

Introduced in post 0037, owned by JellyfishGreen.

American. Much like Ping, Wexford does not like the idea of women in X-Com. A complainer. Currently assigned to squad 2 as a rifleman (though he has used the autocannon).

Sanjay "Sleepy" Deet

Introduced in post 0037, owned by JellyfishGreen.

Indian diabetic engineer. Black hair, doesn't sleep as often as he should. Imperfect english. Drinks lots of coffee. Weak and slow on his feet, but good with his hands. Reasonably bright, especially when it comes to AI/machine development.

Lieutenant Terrance Garvy

Introduced in post 0038, owned by Ego Terrorist.

Small guy. Nothing else known.

John "Pickers" Pickering ("Ego Terrorist"?)

Introduced in post 0038, owned by Ego Terrorist.

Rank of Major. X-Com Intellegence. Black hair with strands of grey. Good strength, average speed. Great psi defence, low attack. Best with a pistol. Speaks many languages, but not latin.

Daniel "Photon" Gomez

Introduced in post 0040, owned by Crazy Photon.

Head of science staff. Computer expert, works on laser weapons.

Training leader of squad 1. German/American.

Cpl. Aoba "Psycho" Seiko

Training leader of squad 2. Japanese, good perception.

Cpl. Charlie Wales

Introduced in post 0046, owned by JellyfishGreen.

Training leader of squad 3. American, easy going. Fitzwilliams has recently 'stolen' his job.

Lieutenant Dan Forrester ("Major"?)

Introduced in post 0046, owned by JellyfishGreen.

Flight commander. Neatly dressed. Is he a Lieutenant or a Major?

Patrick Zager

Introduced in post 0049, owned by Zager.

Physics expert. Elderly, and walks with a cane. Works on the bio-electric cells (which will be used in the laser weapons, if they ever get done. ). Doesn't trust computers much. Doesn't like people tinkering with his experiments.

Gaston Duchante

Introduced in post 0051, owned by Zager.

French. Dislikes English/US folk. Blond with brown eyes. Likes speaking in french, dispite the fact that no one know what he is saying. Currently assigned to squad 2 as the demolitions man, but recently he's been hijacked into squad 3.

Daniel "Psawhn" (pronounced "Sawn") Morlone

Introduced in post 0058, owned by Alitorious.

Scientist working on lasers. Quiet type, keeps most of his thoughts to himself unless he feels a relevent need to express them. Not very fit. Friends with Dana Farber, who he calls Dane.

Dana Farber

Introduced in post 0058, owned by Alitorious.

Engineer working on HWPs. Reasonably outgoing, unless she's working on something difficult, in which case she's a bit of a dragon. Friend of Daniel "Psawhn" Morlone, who she calls Dan.

One of the staff at a remote X-Com storage base, known as Wolmerspur Base (and American base in Germany).

Martin "Strike" Terrick

Introduced in post 0085, owned by Loonie.

Soldier/outsider spy. His family is being held to ransom, in order to get him to pose as a soldier and steal technology from X-Com. American, but raised in Japan. Lightweigtht, but stronger then he looks. Bunks with Karl Green. Currently assigned to squad 1 as a rifleman.

Theodore "Complex" Dherzhin

Introduced in post 0088, owned by Spaceman42.

Decent strength, average speed. Low psi. Likes tinkering on aircraft specifically. Able to fly, and even shoot.

Nathaniel "Hankosha" Jacobson

Introduced in post 0089, owned by Hankosha.

Joined the army at a young age, got jailed for messing with an aircraft later on. Escaped, joined X-Com. May have 'met' the aliens before the war. Below average strength, good speed and accuracy. Good psi. Has a weak leg, prone to injury. Bunks with Samuel "Shades" Thompson. Currently assigned to squad 3 as a rifleman.

Gilbert Huillard

Introduced in post 0095, owned by Spaceman42.

Flight ground crew. French, short with dark hair. Not very intellegent.

Heather O'Reilley

Flight ground crew. Attractive redhead. Not very intellegent.

Johann Ibsen

Introduced in post 0095, owned by Spaceman42.

Used to be flight ground crew. Swedish and blond. All around average. Currently assigned to squad 1 as a rifleman.

Charles "Chuck" (or "Brute") Bruheme (KIA in post 257)

Introduced in post 0097, owned by Alitorious.

Very strong, great with heavy weapons. Fairly fast as well, but a bit of a psi target. Was assigned to squad 3, KIA in chapter 2, post 100.

Craft weapons loadout officer. Australian stereotype. Spends most of his time at the bar drinking, due to lack of work.

Hiroshi "Hero" Escalante

Introduced in post 0125, owned by Crispy (who hasn't posted in the fic).

This guy sorta drifts in, so there are referrances prior to post 125... Anyway, leader of squad 2. Japanese. Speaks english, spanish and japanese, and some french and malaysian as well. Has had jungle training. Not overly strong, but not as weak as he looks. Quite speedy. Average psi.

Ivan "The Mad Russian" Tolstovich

I picture him with dark skin. Probably just me. Stronger then he is fast, but quite intellegent as well. Average shot. Was assigned to squad 3 as a rifleman, but was KIA in post chapter 2, post 94.

Reckless type. Faster then he is strong, but an excellent shot. Average psi. Currently assigned to squad 3 as a demolition man.

British engineer, medium build, with glasses. Very strong, lots of stamina, not a military man but still knows how to use a heavy cannon and other weapons. Not overly bright but good mechanical/technical aptitude. Known for faking alien tech and had a lot of insider knowledge before joining X-Com.

Captain Donald "Bighorn" Ramson

Pilot. Stationed in America. Average height, short dark-brown hair, hazel-coloured eyes. Average stats, able to fire a handgun with some degree of accuracy, aggresive if provoked but otherwise level headed.

Lieutenant Ryan "Bladder" Sheedy

Callsign recieved due to numerous practical jokes. Friend and wingman of Ramson. KIA post 153.

Patricia Keynes

An American journalist who captures a UFO on film. Her tapes are lost seconds after, and she is left without proof.

Appears asian, but is part american. Smart and fast, but not overly strong. Knows Vo Binh Dinh (a hand to hand martial art). Currently assigned to squad 3 as a scout.

Vladimir "Lenin" Iosevich Ulyinov

Former Spetsnaz, has worked in the russian mafia. Blond, green eyes, broken nose. Paranoid, communist. All around decent soldier, just not very fast. Currently assigned to squad 3 as a rifleman.

Jason "X-Ray" Bass

Quite short, black hair, heavy build. Average soldier with above average strength. Something of a marksman. Currently assigned to squad 2 as a sniper.

Oroku "Night Stalker" Gawa

Introduced in post 185, owned by Dan_010 (who hasn't posted in the fic).

Sleeps less then four hours per day, an expert with any weapon, can hypnotise people with a glance, and able to move as a blur whilst carrying +100kg of gear. A legend amongst soldiers, most of whom don't believe in his existence.
