The Crab lands a critical hit on their engine, preventing that bastard from overheating and firing off EVERYTHING. Our force fans out and begins to surround them! The enemy Commando comes around the hill and fires on our Griffin with SRMs. Roughly half hit, and our last bit of armor is blown off. His buddy in the Thunderbolt on the other hand manages to deal critical damage. Our targeting system is toast, we're down to iron sights! Meanwhile on the north flank, the Catapult is blocked from trying to get into the river to cool her overheating reactor. She fires off what she can into our Crab. Fortunately, we're in the water and can overheat all we want! The Catapult goes up in a massive explosion as Jenny ejects from her cockpit. Moments later, the Commando runs out from behind the hill and nukes our Griffin. Bastards! A barrage of medium laser fire comes from the Battlemaster, scoring a critical hit on our targeting system. The Commando continues to circle the lake, pinning down our Urbies in the water as they hunker down against the fire from the two heavier mechs. An AC10 shot comes up out of the lake and nicks the Commando. Our Awesome scores a direct hit on the Battlemaster from range! The Commando returns fire, and misses! HA! The Thunderbolt and Battlemaster cripple our Urbanmechs, one is limping even slower than usual and the other can't hit the broad side of a barn. Meanwhile our Crab snipes the Battlemaster from the riverbank, scoring 3 hits! And our Awesome comes to the rescue by swatting that damned fly... The Thunderbolt also fires, blowing up our Crab! The Awesome snipes from across the map, coring out the Battlemaster's armor! With our mech having so much better long range firepower, the enemy mech are gonna have to hoof it across the map. The Thunderbolt overheats to finally scratch the paint on our Awesome. DAMN! MISSED! With the Thunderbolt coming over the hill at us we're forced to get down under the cliff in the water to avoid him. We fire on the Battlemaster again, but fail to get a critical hit! MAYDAY MAYDAY! My hip actuator's out! We're being overrun! ARRRGHHHHH!!!!!! The Capellans have overrun our position and are pushing on our main base in the region! Our Awesome managed to inflict heavy damage in the closing moments of the battle, but it just wasn't enough, maybe if some of those critical hits landed! The opposing force only lost 2 mechs, but our Awesome put up a good fight in the end, just not enough to down the enemy mechs before they could close with him and make up for his 3pt long range damage. Bravo lance, this is central. We're picking up some fast blips up north, recon that. Roger! Got eyes on'em! KURITANS! How the hell did they get here!?!?! Kurita? Yes, blood red mechs, looks like a Jenner, 2 Dragons, and my targeting system can't figure out the other two, keeps randomly changing between CAT and other mechs. *FFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!* Dammit! The Dracs are mounting PPCs in the missile pods of their Catapults, uploading recon data! *PEW!* Another PPC strikes our Hunchback. We're gonna have to move in closer since we don't have the range to deal with them! They're running in through an open field, while we're in the hills. Best we exploit this while we can! Moving through the hills our Crab takes 3 hits, the other mechs overheat to fire while the enemy is in the open. Our Wolverine and Griffin fire off alphastrikes at the Catapults as they shred our Hunchback and Crab with PPC fire. Our Hunchback charges over the hill firing its AC/10 and lasers wildly. Everything hits the enemy Catapult doing critical damage to their targeting system! Our Catapult engages a Dragon with indirect fire, dealing minor damage. Sir! That one just breached my cockpit, I'm hurt bad!..Fire control offline! The other enemy Catapult has an angle on our Griffin and takes the shot! The mech is destroyed. A burst of autocannon rounds comes in over the hill striking our Wolverine! Base!
