XCOM: EU with Renemesis! (A youtube series, hardcore alien killing!)

Hey there people!

 

I've decided to make sort of a let's play of the latest XCOM installement. I'm not an XCOM veteran, but I am pretty darn experienced in the genre, as I've played several similar games.

 

I'm playing through the game on classic, ironman, and it's my third go at the game, I've had two earlier runs that I aborted due to losing half my squad several times due to buggy crap. This time, I'll just go with the flow, and those bugs when they occur (they sart happening already in episodes 1) make for some funny rage moments.

 

I'm trying to keep the episodes at viewable chunks around 30 minutes or less when possible.

thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it Well, I'll keep 'em coming then! I just recorded a couple more episodes, but unfortunately my recording program didn't.. which means, well, since I'm playing on ironman, there will be a 45 minutes jump in the game. Hopefully this won't be too much of an issue tho, and I'll make sure that that darn red light is shining bright in the future!

Hey guys, here's another episode for you! As the previous post I made states, it skips ahead a bit due to recording issues, and using ironman, so I can't go back to re-record anything if bandicam decides to fail on me. This episode will end in a rage! Also, it will be cut short, because my recording program decided that was enough profanities, and quit on me. Anyway, annoying and infuriating for me, hopefully amusing for you!

He he he, nicely shown why flanking is rarely an option except at the edge of the map... You go around an enemy, just to bring ten more into the fight, dammit.

 

So, scout, find an enemy, retreat and wait for them to come into range of all your team. Don't risk waking up several groups.

 

What would be the end of the sentence? Or is it only me that can't see the end of the vid?

oh, no, my recording program decided to throw a fit when I was recording, so it cut me short, but it was just me raging for about 5 minutes anyway I think the end of the sentence was "if it had only worked properly!" I did realize afterwards that it said "shot blocked", but when I've played on normal difficulty, that haven't seemed to make any difference, and I've hit anyway. Also on the episodes I unfortunately didn't get recorded properly twice they turned 45 degrees away from the target and shot a completely different direction. I was left speechless, then lost my best guy due to it

Great job on the terror mission! I was kinda surprised how well your guys were shooting (especially the heavy), I remember having a lot less luck at times.
