Using Medkits

I am using the Xbox 360 controller for the PC and how do you use the medkits on yourself or others? I add them to my inventory but I cannot select to use them.

Assuming the XBox control layout and the PS3 are identical (bar the different shapes/colours/names for the same buttons), you use the medikit on yourself by selecting it as an action like you normally would for shooting or hunkering down.

 

To use it on others, you do the same. The difference is that when you select the medikit, you'll see a pink ring around all the soldiers near the medic that need healing or need to be stabilised. Move the medic within this ring and use the medikit as normal.

To be more precise the ring is so small that your medic must be adjacent to the patient (at least on PC).
