Unity of Command
Unity of Command is heating up again. 2x2 Games' operational-level wargame has made its way through the hex-laden World War II battlefield to conquer a position in Steam and, among other things, HQ reports that new DLC is also nearing boiling point.

Regarding the latter, it's called Red Turn: The Road to Berlin 1943-45, and here's what it will offer:

(...) we're picking up on the story shortly after the events of the Stalingrad Campaign. Operation Zitadelle, the ill-fated German attack at Kursk, is represented as a single Axis scenario.

Most of the content however, is taken up by the gigantic Soviet campaign.

The Soviet campaign features 17 scenarios, which put together tell the story of how a maturing Red Army won the war through perfecting the art of the deep operation – essentially a Soviet variant of the blitzkrieg. We are including scenarios that cover everything from large scale operations such as Rumyantsev or Bagration, to the more confined and intricate affairs such as the Battle for Kiev in November 1943.

There are four scenarios that have been developed specifically for multi-player, including the tense Korsun Pocket and Operation Konrad.

This DLC is to be released sometime before the year is out, as is the next patch for the main game (v1.04) which will come with a scenario editor and shall be made available as a free update.

In the meantime, if you can't cool your appetite for more content, applications for beta testing are being accepted here.

Unity of Command is currently enjoying a discount of 25% off on Steam, a promotion that will last until October 24th.
