Or you could take a short break from strategy and try your hand at something else. Perhaps some quick games you can play in short bursts.
I'm planning on taking a little break, I have a few quicker games I've been wanting to LP but didn't have the time. I've heard several negative things from Xenonauts (Silencer included) but I was looking through the mods and it might be interesting to try something unique. Or of course, the new Xcoms (which is what I'm leaning towards)... I shamefully have never completed the first one
I was a little lost on what was happening with the alien dimension there for a bit, but I think I understand what's going on now. I forgot to check but I'm guessing I have more research to do to be able to do more in there.
The shields are going to help you heaps. However, considering your troop loss rate so far, I think you'll need to reorganise your kit so that you can carry two shields in your backpack. Just for the extra security.
Woo! I did something smart without having to hear from you first!
Backpacks loaded with shields, let's put them to the test...
You need to research the ships in order in addition to the UFOs. So it's better to focus your research on the Biotrans first, then work on the UFOs until you unlock the Explorer, Retaliator and then Annihilator. That will also give you something to make while you wait for the next ship. For the UFOs, work your way up from the lowest UFO number.
Is the Biotrans worth making, or should I just wait for the Explorer, Retaliator, and annihilator before I start constructing the new ones?
Since your relations with the Cult has always been at rock bottom. It's not going to do any damage at all to go door knocking at each of their temples. Don't raid though as you will not clear the infiltration. I'm thinking it's the temple right next the mall you just cleared.
You were right again. In the next couple episodes I tried changing my stance outside the UFO like you recommended... you were right there too
