The shields are going to help you heaps. However, considering your troop loss rate so far, I think you'll need to reorganise your kit so that you can carry two shields in your backpack. Just for the extra security.
Woo! I did something smart without having to hear from you first!
Backpacks loaded with shields, let's put them to the test...
If you can't drum up enough troops, you should still go and investigate but instead take a much more defensive and relaxed approach to the missions to tide you over until you can rebuild your team and/or pack shields.
Things are rather grim but at least I have cash, I think as long as I can get some recruits in before I have a base defense I might be alright.
I've been rewatching some of my more successful (and not so much) missions and I think I might finally be learning a thing or two about how to deal with RT. Things typically seem to go well when I can get into a proper position and can defend a spot (from a proper distance), it's when I have to go in searching is when I get annihilated.
Problem is I'm still clueless as to how not to get annihilated when moving in and searching for the remaining ones...
You might want to start using one or two Marsec torso plates again just so that you can have a few guys who can teleport absolutely everywhere.
I was going to ask what you thought of throwing a couple Marsec suits into the mix (when I mentioned that in the video it was directed towards you ). I haven't looked at the defense rating of them versus the disruptor armor but as long as I have shields it doesn't really matter, right?
I've moved most of the PC's in my house to 10, peaceful so far. In fact the only one I haven't done is my recording PC because I hear it doesn't play nice with The Sims 2. I know how much of a Sims fan NoX is
