Hey guys... just downloaded UFO Gold from *link removed* ... Installed the game and I run into a problem on start-up... The game loads with no video, just a black screen... I can hear the music in the background... If I click the mouse it crashes, telling me the program has run into an unexpected problem and must close... seems odd... Here's my system info:

Processor Intel® Core™2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz, 2127 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)

Name NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE
Adapter RAM 128.00 MB (134,217,728 bytes)
Installed Drivers nvd3dum.dll
Driver Version 7.15.10.9746

OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium (which I hate more than words can describe)

Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Please feel free to email me directly at arrowland@yahoo.com

Thank you for your time.

I suggest you read and keep checking in on this thread: http://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/X-com...ista-t6243.html

Seems to have a fix with it that you should be able download from that thread or find in our files section: http://www.strategycore.co.uk/files

First of all, please don't link to abandonware sites, it's against the forum rules and the game is still being sold (via GameTap's monthly subscription).

As for the Vista problem, BladeFireLight made a fix which can be found in our files section. If it works, please, PLEASE post here confirming it does, I'm curious if it will work with dual core systems. Don't worry, if it doesn't we still have possible solutions. smile.gif
