Yaaaay!!!! Hurrah for the internet, I'm finally settled down and back online! And until I had to relegate four of my five computers to the garage I was also half way through a new game of UFO... Still happy thoughts eh...

So I'm guessing it must've been a while since I was here as I've just had to skim my way through 14 pages of new topics, boring topics at that grr.gif So lets shake things up a bit hey and have a welcome back party or something cos I just know y'all missed me like mad! laugh.gif

Quick real-life update - Gave up on the pub in Autumn last year thanks to the British government being crap and took my share, leaving my bro to run the place. He gave the keys back to the pubco yesterday so guess I won that one for good thinking... Now living even further South right on the coast with my girlfriend in Littlehampton and we're expecting our first baby in July! July 14th to be precise, the day before I turn 23, inconsiderate beggar...

And now I'm back online! So I have a lot of catching up to do here but I think I'm ready to commit again (just haven't picked the crime yet laugh.gif ) One thing I still have to know, should I buy UFO Extraterrestrials or will I spend every second of it wishing I was just playing UFO?

If you decide to get the game, be sure to get Bman's mod.

And congratulations in advance on the baby!

I recently read that the number of pubs in the UK has slowly dwindled in the last 20 years, so probably not an easy business.

Anyway, congratulations on the baby! You're only back for a short while then, as FA already pointed out wink.gif

As for UFO: ET, I haven't played much, so can't really say for sure. With BMan's mod it should be fairly good I've heard.

So exactly how similar is it compared to the UFO we love? Its always looked like a clone with slightly different names and better graphics to me but how true is that? And what's the mod all about, what does that change?

I know I'm going to be a little busy with other things but I'm going to make time for you guys too now cos I keep meaning too and my life is finally settling down now so why shouldn't I! Time will tell eh.

Welcome back!

Yeah, feel free to dive into the staff forum and see what's been going on. We do have a vague plan of action (Slaughter and I) however various things are conspiring against me at the moment (getting through last week of old job and keeping up with new job etc) but I hope to be getting back to it in the next couple of weeks and really pushing some new ideas forwards.

Congrats on the baby smile.gif The more site members the merrier wink.gif

Absolutely! It may take 12 months to get to touchtyping but I'm pretty sure I can have the little blighter spamming in 4 grin.gif

I may pop over to see how exactly the turtle does move in a while too, I've recently cracked out my old discworld books myself and I can't help but think I used to have a lot more...

Whoops missed this. I blame it on my own Jellybaby. Welcome back, Vet, and congratulations in advance on the forthcoming Rookie. If you're facebooking, check out the X-com group, it's got Slaughter & myself anyway.
