Do you have a collection of funny, scary, weird or whatever animated GIFs you would want to share? Go ahead! No smileys though and watch the usual rules...

A start;

And a SC "homegrown" one (whose avatar was it?)

I always thought that one was kind of funny, but never felt it was appropriate to use as an avatar or a signature. wink.gif

I've seen it used as a signature at Total War Centre.

Nice. Isn't that from the episode where Picard is kidnapped and Borg-a-fied (urm, Locutus)? smile.gif

No it isn't. However I cannot identify the exact episode.

I would've thought it was an episode featuring the Q, but I am also aware Picard never ever struck Q.

It's definitely about the Borg. If nothing else, check the hands of "Vader". I think it is part 1 of the two Locutus episodes, but I could be wrong. I think this is just before he gets kidnapped. It could also be the one when they plan on destroying the Borg by sending an anomaly (took me 10 attempts to spell anomaly right...) through a borg worker they captured. I can't remember any other Borg episodes, though.

I'm supposed to be the Trekkie here, and I can't really say for sure...

However, I am certain it is not the Locutus episodes. Picard was captured standing up, and did not put up that much of a fight yet.

EDIT: THe hand doesn't look very Borg-like at all... I am more convinced that it must be something else. Particularly since the reaction of Picard seems a little odd. (Tackling a Borg was always a terrible idea. Distance was more frequently kept. But then again, they didn't keep to that idea in their introduction.)

Maybe it was First Contact then? I just have this picture stuck where he is tackling a Borg drone, don't know why. Hmm, maybe you are confused by the color of the hands? If you recall, some sort of change occurred between the Locutus episodes and the later Borg (especially in Voyager and First Contact) - Borg didn't have the greenish hue to their skin at first.
Why I would remember this kind of stuff when I don't even like ST all that much is beyond me. blush.gif

I'm not much of a Trek fan, but I saw a movie once involving Borg. Picard started going a little crazy due to memories of being captured by them before (I'm pretty sure he slaughtered a few) and Data got turned into a borg himself.

On First Contact, they were not even aboard the same ship, so that is not the case. Also, Counselor Troi switched over to the standard issue uniform by the end of the series. (Notice she is wearing her signature blue dress instead.) This means it must be a mid-series episode. Probably around the time Borg were just introduced, potentially even before.

The color of the hands are not the case. First generation Borg were a pure white texture to simulate a "zombie" look, that hand is not white. Usually their hands were often replaced with some other contraption, or just left bare. Also look at the size and it's reaction. Borg were always very machine-like, and the hand spreading out like that appears to represent 'surprise'.

Another thing I just noticed... The thing Vader drops after hitting the ground. I thought it was inserted digitally as dropping a lightsaber. It is pistol shaped. Borg never had a need for small arms. wink.gif

Now I'm wondering how much time will pass before someone posts a link to the real short clip and the episode it belongs to.

Oh I tried, but with no luck. A few of the things that Youtube refused to acknowledge: "picard punches", "picard hits", "picard throws". I have a feeling that there is an unregistered ST fan watching this thread thinking: "Fools, it was Episode XY!" tongue.gif

I know. It is humiliating to call myself Trekkie, yet I have no idea what episode this is.

From a google image search, I've managed to discover that this particular scene is popular for people to edit. I found this exact scene redone so it looks like Picard is beating up Batman and even another Picard.

*Does more searching*

Success!! Although this is still edited, it proves my inane nerdiness in that it was not Borg after all.
