Interesting...

Either this man is a complete genius in understanding relativity, or is unaware of it completely. I'm voting the former.

Seems to me that his words can be taken in either direction. Either life is petty and futile, and thus devoid of pertinance in this universe... Or we should be thankful for what little experience our existance is able to grant us.

Not very humbling to me, so much as it is a matter of just how you can take information that indicates that the more vast the universe is, the less you matter. Thus infinity makes you worthless by comparison. It's certainly worthy of a brief debate at least.
