Anyone know of a save game editor which actually works?

Alternatively, how can you set a tech in a save game to 'researched'? If I'm going to be playing around with different mods, I want the ability to use nifty stuff now. grin.gif

One of these might work.

Aren't those Aftermath editors, not Aftershock editors?

Yes, but the savegame files are the same format. It will probably not work, but since there's been no editors for Aftershock that I know of, this is your best bet.

There are 2 vfs tools for Aftershock that work with savegames (since theay are also vfs) located here and here. Also there's a plugin for Total Commander which I find the most useful.

Really really bad idea. While the .vfs file format is the same the game's internal data is quite different.
