I've never gone on any of the 3 collector's edition games other than ufo defense cause i like to complete games in order, but 2day I felt like giving apoc a go, but it won't load. I installed the game ok, but whenever I click on the icon to play it get a black screen and nothing. I've tried the .exe files and the shortcuts, I've tried from dos but it says "mouse not present" but I've got a mouse which works fine.

I'm trying to run it on win98, I've got more than the min specs for it, plus ufo works fine, but I don't know about TFTD

I wanna play Apoc! Help me!

hhe, I could NOT help you and help you achieve your goal of playing in order... wink.gif

I run right from Win98SE, that's no problem for me. If you want to try running from DOS, you need to get DOS mouse drivers, I think. Mouse.com, or some crap.

If you're getting a black screen, THAT sucks... Anytihng else, or just black?

I sometimes get the black screen as well, but it usually clears up after a few tries... and sometimes a reboot.

Try skipping the intro movie with the -skip command.

Also consider disabling your soundcard.

While this may not solve your problem, it's worth a try.

I've uploaded the drivers you need to get your mouse working properly here The read.me file makes it all very simple. Hope it works, just don't expect your scroll to work wink.gif
