I've just now got around to trying Silent Storm. I usually only play this type of game and just now tried it. Wow I love this type of game, there should be hundreds of this type. Now my favourite games are;
1.)Xcom1 and xcom3
2.)Fallout Tactics
3.)Silent Storm
4.)Ufo After series

I really loved the long winded huge missions with Fallout Tactics, for me they are never long enough. Silent storms missions I would like if they were one hundred times the size!

This is the only game type for me. All other types of computer games pale in comparison. Too bad alot of people don't like this genre.

Does anybody know if Nival is working on another sequel for Silent Storm?

No, I don't know if Nival are working on anything SS, but Akella is working on Jagged Alliance 3 with the Silent Storm engine.

Btw, if you like this kind of games and can stand the graphics, you might wan't to check up on Jagged Alliance 2.

I heard Nival was bought and the new owners want them to do PS3 games...?If thats the case
we might never hear of a silent storm sequel.

I've been looking for Jag 2. I was unusually lucky to find S2. Ebgames no longer carries Silent storm gold. I found it in a specialty type computer store.

I've been trying to learn 3D modelling for the past 9 months in my spare time, so as to MOD.
Blender 3D is a major pain in the butt.

Why is there almost no MODS for Silent Storm, new scenarios new models etc?

JoWooD owns the rights to Silent Storm, and Nival was bought by some large company that will likely destroy them. As Kizmiaz says however, there are Nival veterans working on Jagged Alliance 3 using the Silent Storm engine. You might want to give Hammer & Sickle a spin as well if you like Silent Storm!

As for Silent Storm, the modding tools are too hard to use and too little support was given by Nival. In addition the community never grew large enough. We are partially guilty in not implementing the largest fansite into StrategyCore properly yet as well.
