Hello there.
Iam a long time Apocalypse player and the game is now to easy for me.
Iam already playing without Disrupter armor,Toxiguns and Avengers.
Is there a mod wich increases the difficulty of the game with adding more Aliens or make them stronger?
Thanks in advance.

No such mods in our files section. You might try and dig through our links section, but I know of more or less no mods for Apocalypse. Maybe some of the other madm...fans here do though wink.gif Oh, and welcome to the boards!

apocutil can increase the amount of aliens.
With apoc'd you can make the aliens tougher.
You'll have to do it yourself though, no premade mods yet smile.gif .

Awww thats nice, thank you for the links.
I doubled the number of Aliens and hope they will crush me now
However X-Com will give them a hard time.
Thanks again.
Ps does anyone know if adding more Aliens will make them Infiltrate faster?

You could try and set a few rules for yourself to try and see how well you can do. Try some of these:

- Teleporters, either restrict their use or don't use them at all. They truly rock but are meant to be a reward for players who manage to play long enough and accumulate enough points to unlock them. This should be no problem as you play most of the game this way.

- Toxigun - reduce their use. This weapon was always imbalanced and far too powerful. Use it only in emergencies or when you need to collect shields.

- Squad sizes - scale down and use smaller squads. Aim to the point where you can play with groups of four agents, then two agents and if you think you're ready for it: solo missions (that doesn't mean to only bring one person in - it just means completing the mission with a single agent).

- In the late game, try to conquer the alien dimension skies with no more than five or six Explorers. I've done this, so it's not impossible.

- Power sword. Learn to use this fantastic but severely limited weapon to its fullest.

- When your soldiers get too good, retire them to base guards and start with fresh troops. Or use androids, who are perpetually mediocre.

- See how far you can push the purchaseable weapons before being forced to switch to alien weaponry.

I've done all of the above for laughs, and some of them (like lesser agents or going with berserker android swordsmen) really change the way the game is played.

Now who was it who posted huge sheets of recommended (that is, for the suicidal) weapon changes? Pretty sure it was Carlos.

Can't seem to find his stat sheets anymore (bound to be around here somewhere), but I did turn up the name of the "Overkill" editer. Doesn't look like we have it on our site (for whatever reason), and (as usual) I don't have time to test it, but you might like to mess with it yourself a bit.
