The first official patch is here for UFO: Extraterrestrials, making some very anticipated changes.
QUOTE
* There is an increase of the selling price for most equipment the player can manufacture or capture.
* Autosaving is now possible before each mission and the start of every month.
* UFO: Extraterrestrials can now be played in more resolutions (1024x768 and higher)
* Windowed mode is now supported.
* Tactical mode is animated smoother and is greatly enhanced by a variety of useful new hotkeys and available settings (like movement speed for units or scrolling speed).
* Extensive hotkey support for both real time and tactical modes.

Read about all the changes here and then download the v7.05 patch here.

Nice list! The missing hotkeys were one of the things that Slaughter missed, now he will be happy grin.gif

I do have to wait until the end of June, though. UFO:ET will be released here then. (Europe)
Odd, i went into a local EBGames outlet and they didn't even have the game listed in their computer yet confused.gif

Wow! It's not so common at all that game developers release patches that address mostly gamers' complaints, especially in such a short time. Go CC!

The Iraq war has clearly demonstrated the limits of this form of light, mobile warfare: it can defeat virtually any existing conventional military force, but it provides no special advantages in fighting a prolonged insurgency. JDAMs and televisionguided antitank missiles cannot distinguish between insurgents and noncombatants or help soldiers speak Arabic.

I've downloaded patch but it wants a serial number?
I've tried the things I think are serial numbers on CD and box but they are coming up invalid. Where on box or CD should I be looking? argh.gif
And how many digits is it!!!

I got the download from Matrix so I can't tell you exactly where the number physically is, but it's 16 digits (4 sets of 4).

this thread will answer all your questions:

http://www.ufo-extraterrestrials.com/forum...opic.php?t=2668

you'll need a different version of the patch, located here:

http://greycellgreen.net/ufo/UFO_ET_patch1.exe

hope that helps.
