UFO: Extraterrestrials is going to have another delay as the new release date on the front page is now May 1st, instead of the previous date of April 16th (and March 16th before that, and so on). According to this thread, the game was sent to the publisher for testing earlier this week.

Let's hope that is the final date then! I'm looking forwards to testing it.

That isn't the only news. They snuck in a pre-dated article (22nd of March):

QUOTE(Michal Dolezal)
A license and distribution agreement between Chaos Concept and Noviy Disk Ltd. has been signed. The license agreement includes territories as follows: All European countries + exUSSR territory (Russia – Ukraine – Belarus – Estonia – Latvia – Lithuania – Moldavia – Kazakhstan – Kirghizia – Georgia – Armenia – Azerbaijan – Turkmenia – Tajikistan – Uzbekistan), Australia, Japan, China, India, South/North Korea, South Africa, Taiwan, Latin America.

No word yet on how the game will be released/distributed in North America though. Looks like I may be picking this up from an overseas retailer. wink.gif

As a side note, UFO: ET is still being peddled (pre-order of course) at Amazon, eBay as well as GoGamer.com. tongue.gif

Tri Synergy is the North American publisher and Matrix is handling the direct download end.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the enthusiasm for UFO: ET. I can say with 99% assurance from an inside source in the publisher that the game is GOLD and will NOT be delayed past May 1st. Matrix will be digitally distributing the game to the UK so anyone who doesn't mind going without a hard copy can still get their hands on the title without importing it internationally.

Thanks,

Sean D

Well, as was mentioned above there's going to be a new video floating around about UFO: ET in anticipation of the release. There are actually TWO videos we have waiting in the wings, each separated into the two distinct styles of play within UFO: ET. Stay tuned for the actual availibility of the videos. But expect them soon. cool.gif

Oh, and of course they'll be some screenshots peppered throughout. The Gone Gold announcement had another 6 or so new images and the intro video to the game. Be sure to check that out if you missed it.

The screenshots should be floating around at most major gaming sites.

Cheers!

Sean
