Using patched 1.2 Aftershock, ATI Radeon 9550 w/CATALYST® Version 07.1

I was playing Aftershock on this very same computer last time and it was working ok, dunno what the heck is wrong this time, now I can't visualize the whole screen, it's like cropped, like using a lower resolution (thing that is not possible anyway)

Using a flat screen 19" monitor.

Can it be the drivers?

Fixed, unfortunately it seems it has an issue with the Catalyst drivers I was using, back to the ones from the box...

edit: this is crap, it runs a lot slower on the older drivers, anyone has had this problem?

I've never liked Radeon cards for games, only nvidia. Wish I could help ya there...

Works ok using --fullscreen=false, the performance greatly enhanced by the new Catalyst drivers and at least I can browse the internet while waiting for missions to load smile.gif

You might give the Omega Drivers a shot. It is more or less the same driver however, so probably same problem.

I might give them a shot someday to see performance, but I'm really happy with this game in windowed mode smile.gif

Btw, I thought it was monotonous already... but the Wargot Mothership missions are REALLY boring!

YES!! Slaughter I love you wub.gif I gave a shot at the Omega Drivers, and not only they run Aftershock just as good as the Catalyst Drivers, but they allow me to play Afterlight! I recently got AL but the game would crash right after the tutorial mission started sad.gif but now it's all good!! grin.gif Thanks!!

Edit: everything lasts so little... the omega drivers seem to not be working completely ok with my computer, I cannot view some images, everything graphical is slowed down... back to Catalyst 7.2 and awaiting an official patch from Altar...
