Michal Dolezal, managing developer at Chaos Concept, sent over 3 new UFO:Extraterrestrials screenshots for us to enjoy. The first one shows a couple of Sneakers caught in an unfortunate situation. The second shows the 3rd largest two floor alien vessel in the game called a Battlecruiser. The last one shows an unfortunate lone soldier facing several sorts of aliens in the underground. Looks certainly interesting, but is it me or do all the soldiers portraits 1) look the same b) have black eyes

Yes, the portraits look like crap. The soldiers look like they're sprites, too, rather than 3D models.

I doubt the portraits in the finished game will look like that, somehow.

Hi!
I remember watching a demo for the game called Z. A few soldier flew in a transport ship into a mission.They were listenning loud rock'n roll,drinking some kind of a space drink and smoking a cigar. However it isn't that case.The object the soldier wears on his face that you consider to by sunglesses isn't sunglasses at all.It is a display of the Integrated combat management system that provides information about other troopers,enemies and about state of weapon.Controlling of the dispaly depends on movement of eyes.Duplex communication from display to computer is wireless. |
