Firstly thanks are in order to Bomb Bloke for spending what must have been several days of his life on THIS TOPIC from whence comes 99% of the information in this quick reference...

This is simply a much scaled down version of BBs own work so as to bring an absent fic contributor back up to speed with all of the essentials.

Firstly and nice and easily, the only base we have is Pine Gap in central Australia. Thanks to JellyFishGreen we can see exactly how this base looks HERE

Currently stationed at this base are three squads which we'll come on to later and several different aircraft...

Currently piloted are two Hurricane interceptors, a third of these aircraft is currently on its way to Pine Gap now. Other craft at Pine gap include the Osprey, used primarily for clearing sites of recent alien activity and retrieving alien artifacts, and the Skyranger, our sole personnel transport.

Of the pilots it's worth noting that Cheeseman has been neglected in the fic but I include him here because its simply obsurd to assume that one pilot can handle all Skyranger piloting requirements 24/7. Also to note, Trigger and Grizzly are constantly in fierce competition. Gia survived a high speed impact during her first flight in the prototype 'Lightning' craft, the Hurricane's predecessor. Trigger was recently also grounded by the inside agent 'Terrick' suffering significant enough injuries to keep him out of the air for now. Trigger and Gia are currently romantically involved.

As the UFO fic is currently progressing at a fair rate I'll also mention Research and Development here.

As far as it goes, we are currently developing motion scanners and laser weapons. We're currently up to the experimental laser rifles. Personal armour is also beginning to enter circulation but currently only one suit has been constructed. It is to be used by the squad leader on each mission only. Alien research involves mind probes and now plasma pistols. We also have several stun bombs and small launchers and some alien hand grenades.

Now onto squads which I am basically transplanting from BBs heads up so thanks again BB for all this work that I don't have to do!

Points to note here are obviously the loss of Squad 3. Fitzwilliams has lost his position as squad leader due to heavy injuries. FA if you want this character to make a come back then speak with me and we'll sort something out but he'll be out of action till he's healed up nicely anyway. The Skyranger takes 14 troops but that only leaves space for ten with our tank so I've left our injuries out of the rosters for now. All I've done is moved Ed Dodge from squad 1 to squad 2. This way we each have filler but only one each so kill em carefully!
