With all the Star Wars games being released over the years, you'd think that one of them would actually be good. Tacticular Cancer had a look at the latest incarnation called Star Wars: Empire at War, which is a combination of strategic gameplay and tactical space and land battles. Find out if this intriguing mix of gameplay elements work out as well as it could at Tacticular Cancer.
If you'd like to check out a few additional reviews, they are as plentiful as Star Wars games at GameRankings.com Thanks for the heads up baby arm! -------------------- |

Not read the review as it's past 1am, and technically 2am as the clocks have just gone forward
Unless you can only afford one game in which case you should probably go and buy Oblivion -------------------- Welcome back to the wonderful world of Fan-fiction! (it's short for fantastic!)
Go check em out, UFO TFTD and Apocalypse all under one roof!!! Also why not check out XCom : Colonisation over in the special projects forum. Won't kill you if you do, might kill you if you don't! |

If Empire at War is good I must be playing it wrong. I love the Star Wars Universe, but out of the box this game seems so lightweight. I've only played the Rebel side (twice) in the Empire at War scenario, but the AI seems so easy to beat. Maybe CIV4 has spoiled me, but I expect the AI to beat me up a few times before I beat it.

I never had any problems with the AI either, must admit. I played Imperial though so I think that's kind of the way it should be
