Since mid-August of last year, the staff in the X-COM section has been hard at work developing a plan to reduce the sometimes overwhelming size of the forums. After weeks of careful consideration, an outline of the X-COM forums was drawn up and put into place. The old Projects section was moved into the Special Projects Department which reduced the length a little, while XCAS, XCGS and the d20 forums were merged under a single category named X-COM Roleplaying, trimming the size even more. As of January, some new developments arose which everyone should be aware of:

d20 Roleplaying forum

Due to a lack of interest and time, CopyBass informed us that he just could not continue to lead this section anymore. It was elected to remove these forums to reduce overhead and management. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Fan Ideas for New Games forum

This was one section originally slated to be eliminated in order to create more room. After closer inspection, I decided to salvage as many of the important threads as possible and move them into the Special Projects Department whose space was being under-utilized. The wildly popular X-COM: Resurrection topic was also transferred there and pinned. Since the Fan Ideas section was now empty, this forum was removed too.

X-COM game forums ordering

Because of the site merge last year, the X-COM game forums had become quite disorganized and in need of a good cleaning. In light of this I spent the better part of a month ordering topics in each game forum. Navigating these areas should now be much easier.

Two areas which are still under construction at the moment are the X-COM Support and Modding forums. While completely functional, they are a little messy. Please bear with us in the coming weeks as we try to make these forums even more user-friendly.

The Staff and Admin here at StrategyCore are all dedicated to provide the community with friendly service and clean forums. If you have any suggestions, feel free to contact us directly, or post in the Chat to Staff section.

A soldier's death is never in vain if it makes the formula more plain.
A few dozen make a better case for refining that third decimal place.
They call me Zombie because I don't sleep, as I slowly struggle to climb this heap,
of corpses, data points, and trials, but from the top - I'll see for miles!
