As I recall, snakemen were always somewhat slow and they didn't take much killing. Even before you had laser and plasma weapons, snakemen only caused problems for an experienced player when they were acompanied by chrysalids. Not any more. They must have at least 100 movement points each turn, and it takes about five hits with a laser rifle to kill one.

Floaters are just as tough. I've never before seen a floater take a three shot burst from a laser rifle at point blank range and remain upright.

At the moment, I'm having my soldiers go round the map in pairs, which is a bit of a problem because it makes them a very tempting target for an alien with a grenade.

I've also noticed that the aliens are now more likely to head towards where the fighting is instead of staying near their starting position on the map unless they are greatly outnumbered.

And it is now impossible to see more than two spaces in front of you when walking through smoke.

How have you guys had to change your tactics for this version of Enemy Unknown?
