Yep

My x-com game is very very loud , to play a normal game i have to move the volume all the way down to the lowest possible level and that still gives a pretty loud sound .

So i ask you , how do i fix this ?

I don't know any software sollutions, but you can always pull the plug of your speakers halfway out of your soundcard.

If you are in windows, try adjusting the controls. One may be set much higher than the others.

Ok then , new approach...

I'm running windows ME , is there a way to just turn off the in-game music . I also have the collectors edition if that helps .

I know it has something todo with midi files and players , and .... stuff . So can anyone give a comprehensive guide to shutting it off as i would much rather listen to CKY than a looped 80's keyboard "jam"

Cheers

Could replace the midis with new ones. If the file you want is wav or mp3 you will have problems with the soulds. If it is cd it should play right through if you mute the synth volume and adjust cd volume to your liking.
