Well, the file section is in the process of being skinned, but I've decided to give you all access to it to have a look around.

I will point out that the main reason for this is that I would like anyone with files that they'd like to contribute to use the system and submit any files such as patches, mods or other utilities relating to the various games.

To do this, click on the link at the top-right of the screen that says "Upload File". Click on that link and fill in the form taking care to fill out according to the following:

• Please only link to files if they exceed 5mb and please link to the page you can download them from on the linked site and not to the file itself as this is known as bandwidth theft. Add as many mirror locations for the file as you like.
• Fill out only the Download box OR the Download URL box, but not both.
• Author Name should be either the person who made the mod/file or the company (for instance Microprose) who released it.
• Please feel free to add thumbnail shots of the file if you've got them.
• Please remember to select the correct category that the file should go in from the category drop-down list.

Please be aware that an administrator will have to check the file before it is authorised and then listed, so to avoid confusion and duplication, please reply to this post with a list of any files you have uploaded to the system.

A big thank you to anyone who can help out, and I shall try and get some of the files I've collected up into the database as soon as skinning is complete.

Should we upload the Aftermath patches and see how it goes with the bandwidth?

Ok, this should explain why when heading to the main page, the files section heads towards the forums and the forums heads "nowhere"...

Aww p00p! I just re-did that menu earlier yesterday and rearranged the graphics. I'll have to rearrange the links later.

There may also be a few bugs in the file download system, but I'm fixing them quickly. The ComboMod download should not redirect you to the page we linked to rather than try and download a webpage :ph34r: Thought I'd squashed that bloody bug a while back

There's still the odd few problems, but please, feel free to login (if you're not already when you get there) using your forum login details and upload any relevant files you may have

I'm quickly getting through the bugs in the system. It's now correctly logging numbers of donwloads and treating internal files and external links correctly.

I'm going to have a crack at getting the category counters fixed tonight - my tests last night show that this shouldn't be too much of a problem. After that I can finish the darned skinning and that's that!

EDIT: Pretty much every major bug is fixed as of today (8th March). Just some final skinning bits to sort and that's pretty much it.

Okay, we still need your help guys. Quite a few files have been added to our files section, but it's far from complete. If everyone would browse through it and notify us of stuff missing (or upload it themselves), we'd be ever grateful! Do your duty for the games you love!

Okay, more files added to the files section and I have reorganized it. Take a look and tell me what you think. I thought it was messy to have tools, mods and maps together in one section.
