Are the better guns in the game located in story missions or in random ones? And if either, which missions are they? I'm looking for better MG's and sniper weapons.

Also, should I keep using an older weapon that I'm more familiar with or get a new, better gun that I'm not familiar with?

Last but not least, which is better, the Bren, the Chantellerault (sp?), or the Z31?
