I was just wondering when will the download section of x-com.co.uk be up and running. And why aint it working, just curious!

Hehe, when we're done with the new site. Files are being added to the new system and I'll let you know as soon as the download area is up and link it n correctly, but at the minute there are a few minor bugs and the skin makes it a little hard to read

It's been a long timein the making but both Slaughter and myself have been sidetracked with a lot of real-world stuff and the only datew I tentatively put forward has gone by (Christmas) so I'll be working hard to try and get you at least some sections open shortly (including downloads) as they don't rely too heavily on the rest of the new site to work.

I pray every day to Sweet Zombie Jesus that it'll be done soon.

I'll do a quick update

The problem we've got with the downloads section is that teh script we're using has a few bugs, and it's not fully skinned yet.

The bugs are minor, so I may just finish off the skinning for it and post a little apology on the script's front page saying why every category says "0 downloads" (Just minor bugs mind! The rest works nicely!)

To get this done quicker however, it would be nice if - just for the X-COM downloads - people who have a file to add can do the following:

Send the file to prereleasefeedback@strategycore.co.uk along with the title, a short description, who created the file ('unknown' for unknown ) and what version it is if applicable. If there is a website dedicated to teh file like with XCOMUTIL and f0dder's patches, let me know that too.

Once you've done that, post the title of the file you sent in this thread to avoid duplication and save my inbox space

Please don't send anything huge like the Interceptor demo - if there's anything over 5mb, just give me all the above info and a link so we can redirect traffic to that page instead.

There we go - that should get the downloads section sorted quicker!
