is there actually any difference between the collectors edition and the gold edition of x-com (or are they the same thing).
Just the latest question helping me with my war against XP and its inability to run any of the games in the x-com collection'. |

If you open up the readme file, you'll notice that it also includes the readme documentation for TFTD and Apocalypse.
So, yes, the 'Gold Edition' is the Collectors Edition, albeit only 1/3rd of it (or 1/5th, depending on some distributions). Of course, there's probably an older Dos 'Gold edition' release floating around, but most people automatically associate 'Gold Edition' as 'Collectos Edition', so it should be fine. - NKF -------------------- Current Avatar Source: A custom GM-Striker. The 'British' counterpart to the 'German' Zaku in Ich trage eine Wanne für einen Hut. I still have no idea if that's been mistranslated.
