Okay, the game crashes as soon as I try and place my first base. I have tried absolutely everything I have seen on here so far.
I have tried using windows 95 or 98 compatability I have tried running in 256 colout mode I have tried forcing the 640x480 resolution I have tried completely lowering the hardware acceleration I have tried dosbox which claims to be able to run the game but can't. If anyone can think of anything else PLEASE let me know! It's the dos version and not the collecters edition. -------------------- Floaters, HEY! .. what are they good for, absolutely nothing!

Stupid question for you: which version of DOS UFO are you running? If it's not 1.4, you may wish to take a look at theDosbox feedback and see if any of that helps.
My experience with UFO/TFTD DOS under any flavour of windows after 98 is bad. It's probably easist to try the DosBox suggestions first. -------------------- "Don't deny it, Jack. I have the v1.0 and the v1.4 in two seperate directorys, where I have been doing these experiments on both to try and make the swines work. They're probably still there now. Laughing at me.
I think I'm just gonna have to give up and accept the fact I am doomed to never play it again. At least that bloody Apocalypse works now. -------------------- Floaters, HEY! .. what are they good for, absolutely nothing!

Windows XP. I think XP stands for Xerier Ploppata, which is alien for complete shit.
