For those of you that ran into trouble trying to install UFO: Afterlight's v1.5 patch, ALTAR has recently made available an alternative that should put an end to your woes.
So, in addition to the traditional InstallShield patch installation route there's now a batch file available for download at the game's official site that serves the same purpose for both the SecuROM and Softwrap-protected versions of the game. Patch up!

As of a few minutes ago the UFO: Afterlight demo has become available over at Cenega's.
Weighing in at 421 Mb you can download it from our files section (Gamer's Hell). The official word: QUOTE "The demo allows you to test all features of the final game for whole 10 game days. You will be able to go through all options in the strategic part and experience tactical action in approximately 5 randomly generated missions."

Having just browsed by Cenega's site I've noticed that they now sport UFO: Afterlight flavoured season greetings in a brief slide-down pop-up as can be seen below.
