I'm back again!

Yaaaay!!!! Hurrah for the internet, I'm finally settled down and back online! And until I had to relegate four of my five computers to the garage I was also half way through a new game of UFO... Still happy thoughts eh...

So I'm guessing it must've been a while since I was here as I've just had to skim my way through 14 pages of new topics, boring topics at that So lets shake things up a bit hey and have a welcome back party or something cos I just know y'all missed me like mad!

Quick real-life update - Gave up on the pub in Autumn last year thanks to the British government being crap and took my share, leaving my bro to run the place. He gave the keys back to the pubco yesterday so guess I won that one for good thinking... Now living even further South right on the coast with my girlfriend in Littlehampton and we're expecting our first baby in July! July 14th to be precise, the day before I turn 23, inconsiderate beggar...

And now I'm back online! So I have a lot of catching up to do here but I think I'm ready to commit again (just haven't picked the crime yet ) One thing I still have to know, should I buy UFO Extraterrestrials or will I spend every second of it wishing I was just playing UFO?

UFO Enemy Unknown for sale!

Hi guys!!! I'm back again, and this time hopefully for good! But that's not for now, that's for about five minutes from now when I start an off-topic thread called I'm back again! with a topic description of 'and this time hopefully for good'

Anyway, onto the plug, and for ease of linking it's a blatant ebay plug!

I lost my UFO cd about a year ago when I was still at my pub so I cried for a while and then bought a new copy online. Then I sold the pub and moved away and I found my cd... I cried again. And now I've decided to sell it on to someone else who may be crying as we speak due to a lost cd of their own!

The item is linked HERE and when I put it online it was the ONLY copy of this type up for sale so fingers crossed I might do ok off it! Goes without saying though I'd rather a real fan had it so you guys, anyone lacking a copy of the greatest game ever made, help me to help you!

Oh and I just skimmed the 14 pages of new posts since my last visit... IGN dropped it to 21... And I said I was positive it had never placed below 10... Now who looks stupid... Thanks IGN

Most memorable XCommy 'thing', read me!

Almost put this in modding as in the long run that's kind of what it is but it's not strictly XCom modding so I put it somewhere else Anyway I already posted a new topic in modding since I miraculously reappeared today so I figure I might as well spread myself throughout as much of the forums as I can to make sure people haven't forgotten me!

Point at hand, question for everyone... What is the most memorable XCommy type 'thing' you can think of... For example you walk into a room and see a stormtrooper it makes you think Star Wars, see a glass of milk it probably makes you think of cows or something I don't know I'd just drink it... Point is, what makes you think of XCom the most?

Now for me it would be something like the stereotypical Blue personal armoured soldier with a standard issue XCom rifle and blonde crop top or something like that but it doesn't really suit my purpose... I'm thinking more like the Skyranger, Harvester UFO, or something from a different XCom like a space station from interceptor...

Basically something pretty big! The reason for why shall become apparent in due course but I'd like a little bit of input from everyone who best knows the game first! Let me know, even if your XCommy thing is a celatid or piece of xshaped dust list it anyway but try and think of something bigger as well. Personally I'm torn between the alien Battleship and the Avenger/skyranger but, although the b/s suits my purpose better its not really as XCommy...

I had a genius idea a few days ago and have since been pondering it in my mind but in order to ponder it anymore I need someone to ponder it with me!

I'm keeping a lot of secrets at the moment because I think it'll make people more likely to be interested but all you need to know is that it's XCom, its online and it needs your help so get in touch if you think you can maybe help

UFO Enemy Unknown for sale!!!

Hey guys I'm alive! And I'm back for a brief period of time to try and sell a copy of UFO that I only just bought to someone who deserves it so eyes in!
This is the auction and its only got a £10 start for an item I ended up paying £20.50 for!!! Honestly check my feedback its still in there!
I bought this new copy when I couldn't find my old cd and spent days crying over the loss of an old friend. I then bought this copy online and subsequently found my old cd... Then spent days crying over my old £20!
So here it is, box, cd and manual all in as good a condition as you can expect after this long off the shelf. Box is in better nick than mine but it has a nasty patch in the corner where someone butchered the label off.

Anyway sorry I haven't been around much lately I really miss all of you guys Found Pete and co. on Facebook, everyone else should come and say hi too I'm looking to move soon down to Kent, after selling the pub and starting a real job! Fingers crossed I'll be able to get broadband in down there nice and quick then I may actually have some time to talk to you guys
