Tactical notes

Slimethrowers are possibly the most dangerous acid spitters in the game partly because of their accuracy and partly because their mucous like tissue gives them good protection against human assault rifles.

Early in the game, soldiers armed with human assault rifles should try to engage a slimethrower at long range, because assault rifles have a greater range than slimethrower acid. Grenades are useful, particularly in urban missions.

As the game progresses, you should equip some of your soldiers with hybrid plasma rifles, because of their effectiveness against most transgenants, including slimethrowers.

A slimethrower can be taken alive, although it is too big to carry. A slimethrower will become unconscious when its health is reduced to 200 hit points or below, 13% of the starting total.
